Andy had been trying to convince me to go with him to Marcus birthday which will be happening in a few days’ time, on his dad’s yacht. Marcus was a humble guy, and sure I could go with Andy, but the party was going to be filled with our classmates; amongst whom I feel invincible. It’s like no one notices me, at the same time everyone despises me.

Adventure on Luxury Boat with Scary Mermaids

I have to tell you about my sailing adventure. The year I started studying Modern Languages in college, worried about never achieving financial stability, I never imagined that I would celebrate my graduation sailing the seas. It was a crazy thought. All my classmates were hoping to maybe get a tiny apartment and a job at a library; that was the dream. But I was part of a fortunate group of people. No, I didn’t suddenly become a millionaire. But after a few years of friendship, I along with two other friends discovered that one of our friends, the shy girl that struggled through all her classes but graduated with actually impressive grades, she was the granddaughter of a wealthy man. He was a millionaire, if not already a billionaire, I think. But he was nice, an amiable, stereotypical old man.

Sailing vs. Motorboats

One of the great advantages that sailing has over motorboats is their stability because motor boats are much lighter to the fact that they need to stay within a specific weight range for their speed. What this also hinders their safety is harsh weather such as storms, hurricanes, big waves, sea overlaps, and big weather changes. But because they are light compared to sailboats, they manage to attain higher speed levels that allows for a much better maneuver which can also lead them out of danger if the navigator is knowledgeable enough.
